This product is usually contains approximately 1000mg of cannabinoids naturally present in the Oregon-grown whole hemp flower infusion (or 16,000+ mg cannabinoids per 16 oz bulk jar). The Green Dragon Tincture burns my mouth when used sublingually. Why does it burn and is there a way to avoid this?

Our Green Dragon is made with 100% certified organic cane sugar alcohol, so it may be too strong for some people to hold in the mouth for sublingual absorption. If this is the case, you may add to a little water, juice, tea, or other beverage to avoid the “burn” some people describe with sublingual application.
The sublingual method of tincture administration - a full dropper held under the tongue, will provide the quickest onset of effects (about 15-30 minutes). You can also throw it straight down the hatch and in 30-90 minutes reap your reward.
Dropped in your drink, it will generally take effect in anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. But if you take it sublingually — under your tongue — you will feel it within 30 seconds, with the full effect coming on in 5 to 15 minutes.
